This delicious dressing is baked in the oven, and is moist and fluffy, unlike traditional versions.

Ingredients
or2 onions, finely chopped, and cooked until translucent
or1 cup mushrooms
or4 cups bread crumbs, I like to use torn day-old baguette
or¼ cup earth balance buttery spread, melted
or½ cup vegetable broth
or1 tsp thyme (Fresh or Dried)
or1 tsp basil (Fresh or Dried)
or1 tsp rosemary (Fresh or Dried)
or1 tsp marjoram (Fresh or Dried)
orPinch of salt
orDash of fresh black pepper
Preparation
1.
Preheat oven to 350F
2.
Heat some olive oil in a pan and cook the onions until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3.
Add mushrooms to the pan, and cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
4.
Transfer to a bowl with the torn bread or bread crumbs.
5.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well, until combined.
6.
Place in a greased casserole dish, cover with aluminum foil, and cook for 15-25 minutes, checking every 10 mins to ensure it isn’t drying out.
7.
Serve with gravy, turkey, greens and other holiday dishes
